Steady power transfer, user-friendly operation by Sandor from Hungary

5

Pros

  • Perfect turn
  • Perfect up wind
  • Constant pull
  • Comfortable bar pressure

Cons

  • too fast amortisation/material of kite getting old

Best use

  • freeride
  • freestyle: big air and loops

Comment

I have a DICE 11, (model 2015) and a DICE 9 (model 2014). I like both of them. I used North kite before. It doesn not pull too hard but very steady so it works perfect even in light wind. In addition, the kite has an outstandingly optimal location to the driving direction. The bar pressure is relatively low but provides enough response. It also turns in a very nice arc. This is exciting especially during kiteloop, since the power is steady here too, so we dont need to afraid it going to jerk us.
For big jump we need a bit more precisely combined movement. I use it with a 4 and 5 string bar.
The only adverse experience that it seems, the material of kite 9 (model 2014) started to go old quite quickly.

Comment

After three years on the Rebel I have added the 7m Dice to my quiver and have enjoyed all the high wind sessions with it. The kite is easy to setup, works extremely well in strong and gusty winds and the build quality is second to none. It is a fun and agile kite with good jumping capabilities. Because it handles very well the kite remains controllable even in situations that are above its recommended wind range.

The adjustment possibilities between the hard and soft setting are easy to change and the kite handles and feels as expected. At the moment I am mostly using the hard setting as the bar pressure is more pronounced and freestyle tricks are easier to pull off.

The Dice is a great part of the North line up and all elements work really well together. Get out and have some fun with your new Dice.
