My experience with the Rebel has been terrific. It feels very direct...like every move of the bar is immediately transferred to the kite. It feels like an extension of my body. I appreciate the Rebel being able to launch fully de-powered and the safety of the 5th line. Last spring I was caught on the water when a line of thunderstorms came through. I flagged my kite on the 5th line, and despite very high wind gusts, the pull of the kite was minimal and I escaped a potentially dangerous situation. You can feel the quality difference between North and other brands when handling the kite. The low end is outstanding. I have been able to ride in light winds when many others could not.

An improvement idea I have is related to the pack down size of the kite. They sell space saver vacuum bags for clothing where you can hook up a vacuum and suck the air out of the plastic bag compressing the clothing for storage. What if the North kite bag had that feature? It would not be a big leap technology wise and might allow someone to pack 2 kites in one bag. Another idea would be if the same system could somehow be used to take moisture out of the kite bag using some type of dehumidifier or air circulation. I know many times when I arrive home after a trip I have to pull my kites out of the bags, dry them, and re-pack them and I would be happy to a better option.

Those are just a couple ideas. The North team sets the bar for quality, performance, and durability. Keep it coming!!!!
